Yes. BreakAway Data has been an official MaxPreps stat import partner since August 17, 2026. MaxPreps lists BreakAway on its flag football stat import partners page. That means the file BreakAway builds is one MaxPreps is set up to read. You stat the game, export it and upload it.
Every player's game stats. That covers passing, rushing, receiving, flag pulls, sacks, interceptions, passes defended, punts and punt returns. It also carries touchdowns, made 1 and 2 point tries and safeties. MaxPreps matches each player by jersey number, so set jersey numbers on your roster before you export.
Yes. The MaxPreps export comes with statting in BreakAway, and statting is free. There is nothing extra to buy and nothing to turn on. Stat the game, open it in the web app and export. You can do it after every game, all season long.
Yes. The export works on any flag football game you stat in BreakAway. That covers 5v5 and 7v7, and high school games played under NFHS rules. The file comes out the same way whichever ruleset you statted with. Each team exports its own players from its own side of the game.
No. MaxPreps has no public API for stats. Stats get to MaxPreps as a file you upload to your team's page. BreakAway builds that file for you from the game you statted, one per team per game. Export it from the web app, upload it on MaxPreps, and you're done.
Anyone who can stat for that team in BreakAway, like the coach or the team's stat keeper. Each side of a game exports only its own players. The other team's coach can't pull your file, and BreakAway checks that on every export.
Check their jersey number. MaxPreps matches players by number, so BreakAway leaves out anyone with no number or a number two players share. Guessing would put one player's stats on another player's page. Fix the jersey numbers on your roster in BreakAway and export again.
